Readings produced by data loggers to create appropriate storage environment for the safe keeping of cellulose acetate negatives

This research was conducted using 'Tzone Temu 03' data loggers to record temperature and relative humidity (RH) readings to design the best storage solution for Cellulose Acetate (CA) film. The main data was collected over a period of two months (March and April 2024). The second set of data was collected over a shorter period (one week) in June 2024 to test the efficacy of a dry cabinet for maintaining RH. This was done to ascertain if a dry cabinet was an appropriate storage solution for the CA film. Data collection took place in a residential home in Rondebosch, Cape Town.
