Microbiome of the oral cavity

DNA sequencing results of the V3-V4 variable regions of 16S rRNA gene and the ITS region from samples collected from the oral cavities of patients under 30 years old with clinically healthy oral conditions. The structure of the bacterial community was determined by sequencing the variable V3–V4 regions of bacterial 16S rRNA (wg Illumina, Part # 15044223 Rev. B) and the fungal community structure was determined using the internal transcribed spacer ITS (ITS3/ITS4) regions of fungal ribosomal DNA, both using the Illumina platform. Sequencing was performed on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 instrument using the NovaSeq 6000 SP Reagent Kit v1.5 (500 cycles) in paired-end read mode (2×250 cycles), following the standard procedure recommended by the manufacturer with the addition of 1% PhiX control library.
