Replication Materials
收藏资源简介:
This record contains the replication materials for the Master’s Major Research Paper “Economic power and geopolitical shifts: Is China’s economic engagement reshaping foreign policy in Central America and the Caribbean?” The archive includes datasets exceeding GitHub’s file size limits that are used in the quantitative analysis, including UN General Assembly voting data and related country-level indicators. These data serve as inputs for regression analyses examining the relationship between Chinese economic engagement (trade, foreign direct investment, and development finance) and foreign policy alignment in Central America and the Caribbean. All code required to replicate the results is hosted separately on GitHub and linked in the accompanying repository README. Instructions for replication, including file placement and script execution order, are provided in the GitHub repository documentation. These materials are provided to ensure transparency and reproducibility of the empirical results presented in the paper. This reesearch was supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Department of National Defence of Canada. Original authors of the datasets: Dussel Peters, E. (2025).
