This dataset contains calibrated parameter estimates derived from the trend analysis of GRACE/GRACE-FO terrestrial water storage (TWS) and groundwater storage (GWS) time series (as well as compartment variables), as used in "Water storage trends derived from the GRACE/-FO global gravity-based groundwater product (G3P)" (Hohensinn et al. (2026)). The files provide grid-cell–level estimates of linear trends, seasonal components, and stochastic noise model parameters (as well as other parameters) obtained using generalized least-squares estimation with memory-aware stochastic models (e.g., power-law plus white noise, AR(1)+white noise). Parameter estimation follows the methodology described in the main paper and Supplementary Material. These parameter estimates form the statistical basis for the conservative detection and aggregation of volumetric water-storage changes reported in the study. They are provided to ensure reproducibility and to enable independent analyses. Detailed documentation of the model output parameters and their interpretation is provided in the Hector v2.1 documentation, which describes the estimation framework, parameter definitions, and conventions used in the exported results. The dataset is intended for research use. Aggregated volumetric changes reported in the associated paper are based on statistically significant trends under given thresholds; The dataset is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and the authors do not assume responsibility for interpretations or applications beyond the scope of the associated study.
