Excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages in Brazil 2013-2023, by gender

In Brazil, respondents were asked whether they had consumed a certain amount of alcoholic beverages (an intake of four or more doses of alcoholic drinks for women, and five or more doses for men) on a single occasion during the last 30 days. The share of Brazilian men who claimed to have drunk such amount of alcoholic beverages on a single occasion in the previous month amounted to 27.3 percent in 2023. This figure was higher than the share of women who claimed to have consumed such amount of alcoholic beverages, which reached about 15.2 percent that same year.

在巴西，调查对象被问及在过去30天内是否曾在单次活动中摄入了一定量的酒精饮料（女性为四次或四次以上的酒精饮品，男性为五次或五次以上的酒精饮品）。2023年，声称在前一个月单次活动中摄入如此量酒精饮料的巴西男性所占比例高达27.3%，这一比例高于声称摄入相同量酒精饮料的女性比例，该比例当年约为15.2%。
