Microbiome changes after green tea polyphenols and tocotrienols supplementation in high-fat diet-induced obese mice

Numerous health benefits for green tea polyphenols and tocotrienols supplementation have been reported, but no study had evaluated the effect of their supplementation on the gut microbiome in a high-fat diet-induced type 2 diabetes animal model. In this project, we have characterized the bacterial community in the fecal materials of mice fed on high-fat diet supplemented with green tea polyphenols and tocotrienols. This was done using 16S rRNA gene sequences.
