A black and white postcard of an indigenous man in by a mission couryard, circa 1920s. The man leans on a weathered pillar of an arcade. He has a white beard and wears a bandana, a scarf, a long coat, dark pants, and shoes. He has his right hand in his pants' pocket. In his left hand he holds a hat. He holds a pipe between in lips and looks to the right. The floor at his feet is stone. Across the background is a courtyard which is mostly dirt and some scattered bushes. An arcade is also across the background. The postcard was housed in Agnes Temple's photo album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other images which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With some yellowing of the paper and a small acid stain, the artfact is in good condition overall.
