Leadership in a County Administration, 1989

“Administratict forskningsfond” arranged a development program for 450 leaders in Østfold county administration. This examination was made before the course as means to adapt the program to the conditions in the county municipality. It was important to map out characteristics with the job situation, the relationship between work life and private life, the relationship to the nearest superior, cooperation in general, the relationship to the county municipal institutions and businesses, the relationship to the central and sector administration in the county house, organisation of the workplace, evaluation of the results of the county municipality, the relationship to the chairman of the county council and others in the political management, training demands, evaluation of their own leader abilities and demographical information. A postal questionnaire was sent out to the participators of the program. Gross sample 400, net sample 332.
