In 2011, the authors acquired sub-bottom seismic profile data using a GeoPulse 3.5 kHz sub-bottom profiler system at Black Lake (35.9859°N, 93.2638°E) in the northern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Based on the raw field-collected data, the optimized variable-length sliding window energy ratio method and mean curve method were utilized to extract small stratigraphic boundary points, followed by continuity validation of these boundary points. Automatic interpretation of the sub-bottom seismic profiles was implemented via Matlab programming, and the field-measured and energy ratio method-interpreted datasets of the shallow seismic profiles from Black Lake in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were obtained. Following a series of experiments and comparative analyses between automated and field-measured results, it was found that when the value range of the variable-length sliding window is 2–20 and the peak extraction window of the mean curve is 70–80, the degree of coincidence between the stratigraphic boundaries obtained by automatic interpretation and manual interpretation of the Black Lake profile data exceeds 0.65, and the density of the extracted boundary points near the boundaries is greater than 0.8. The field-measured and energy ratio method-interpreted datasets of the shallow seismic profiles from Black Lake in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau include GIS data of the lake's location, 2011 field-measured sub-bottom seismic profile data collected at this site, and energy ratio method-interpreted data. Specifically, the field-measured data cover three profiles: 3sn, 4ns, and 4we. The data volumes of these three profiles are 3001 traces, 1918 traces, and 8001 traces respectively, with each trace consisting of 1664 sample points stored in .txt format. The energy ratio method-interpreted data include: stratigraphic line data of the 3sn profile from Black Lake; single-channel seismic profile data and 19-column energy ratio data; parameterization scheme (Lmin-Lmax/Lwin) and the number of extracted boundary points; extraction performance of different Lwin under the Lmin-Lmax value scheme; single-channel seismic profile data of Black Lake and single-channel seismic profile data of Xiyang. The dataset is stored in .kmz, .shp, .txt, and .xlsx formats, with a compressed size of 27.7 MB. The analytical and research findings of this dataset were published in *Progress in Geophysics*, Volume 30, Issue 3, 2015.
