ANeuston net sampling and surface water sampling data from T/S Oshoro maru 2023 Arctic Cruise / C145

Neuston net tows were conducted at 28 stations in the Bering and Chukchi seas, with two 20-minute tows per station to investigate the distribution and abundance of microplastics in seawater. Surface seawater samples were collected by bucket at the same stations as the neuston net tows to obtain background samples for DNA analysis of microbial community composition adhered to microplastics.
