Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data acquired along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge in the southern Atlantic Ocean during the Maurice Ewing expedition EW9011 (1990)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW9011 conducted in 1990 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Paul Jeffrey Fox). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the at-sea science party and the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Ridge Segmentation, Plate Boundary Architecture and Behavior of Non-Rigid Discontinuities Along the MAR in the South Atlantic, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE89-17762.
