VPRS 5149 Register of Postage Stamps Issued

This series documents the issue of postage stamps to members of the Legislative Council. Members had an annual entitlement of stamps. From items of loose correspondence within the volume, it would seem that the Clerk of the Legislative Council implemented this system from 1953. The Clerk despatched by registered mail one-twelfth of each members annual entitlement of stamps each month, and recorded the same in this series. The register records each members authorised allocation per month, the date stamps were posted to them, and the number of stamps of different denominations issued.
