Sorghum purpureosericeum genome assembly

This study focused on identifying candidate genes responsible for tissue-specific elimination of B chromosome in embryos of Sorghum purpureosericeum. To achieve this, we first generated an assembly of the Sorghum purpureosericeum B chromosome using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) reads. Following this, we utilized Illumina short-read sequencing for polishing and contig sorting.
