This dataset primarily contains experimental process data and simulation model research data for drop-weight impact tests and three-point bending tests of composite aramid honeycomb sandwich structures. The drop-weight impact experimental data of composite aramid honeycomb sandwich structures was generated using the Instron CEAST 9350 drop-weight impact test system, with the corresponding simulation models established via Abaqus finite element software. The three-point bending experimental data of such structures was generated by a universal mechanical testing machine, and its simulation models were also built using Abaqus finite element software. The dataset includes: simulation model data and experimental-simulation comparison data of composite aramid honeycomb sandwich structures fabricated from two different thicknesses of aramid paper under various impact energies; experimental data of these structures under various impact energies; and detailed data of the impact test simulation models. It also encompasses three-point bending test simulation model data and experimental-simulation comparison data of composite aramid honeycomb sandwich structures made from two different thicknesses of aramid paper, as well as experimental data of these structures in three-point bending tests, with a total data size of 5.93 GB.
