Transcriptome profiling of Arabidopsis roots treated with ascr#18 revealed strong effects on the regulation of genes involved in auxin transport and signaling compared to untreated roots, while classical defense genes remained unchanged. Gene expression analysis of nematode feeding sites three days after infection showed that pretreatment with ascr#18 reduced the expression of auxin signalling genes.
