The implementation of measles case monitoring on saliva samples during an epidemic demonstrates the feasibility of diagnosis, even with samples kept at room temperature (27-30°C) up to a week. We identify hidden cases of rubeola and few HHV6, Parvovirus B19. The sequencing of a subset samples shows the circulation of the measles B3 genotype in Guinea.
