Community in Action: Restoring our Grey Box Woodlands

This project will improve the condition and linkages between areas of Grey Box Woodland and Native Grasslands in the Mitcham Hills and provide valuable learning and work experiences for participants, through: controlling Weeds of National Significance and/or declared under the State Natural Resource Management Act 2004; working on-ground with over six volunteers groups, two not for profit groups, one University and National Parks and Wildlife SA; learning plant propagation skills; revegetating six hectares with 2,000 local native seedlings; constructing and maintaining trail networks; and undertaking flora surveys and photopoint monitoring.
