资源简介:
The nature of Correctional Officer (CO) work makes COs susceptible to adverse physical and psychological health conditions. The health outcomes of this population are understudied, and no research has examined contributory factors to adverse health outcomes in this population. Perhaps sleep may be such a factor. The goal of this study is to bolster knowledge about the health of this population and further, examine the relationship between sleep and health. An archival dataset of 243 COs from a National Institute of Justice study will be used. Self-reported rates of health conditions for this CO sample will be reported. Self-reported and actigraphy-derived multidimensional sleep health will be reported, including regularity, satisfaction, alertness, timing, efficiency, and duration. The relationship between count of health conditions and sleep health will be examined via generalized linear modeling. unknown other
