Coral reef cover and demographic data for six study sites around the outer edge of the Heron Island reef crest. Sampling occurred in April 2006, April 2007, and March 2008. The data records the number and surface area of coral colonies of Pocillopora damicornis, Stylophora pistillata, Favia spp, and the genera Goniastrea and Favites. Total coral cover for each study site was also recorded.
