Amplicon sequences of rhizosphere AOA communities.

The following amplicon sequence data from prokaryotes (16S rRNA) and Ammonia-oxidizing Archaea (AOA) [ammonia monooxygenase subunit alpha (amoA), and manganese (Mn) catalase] were obtained to analyze the rhizosphere AOA communities of pepper and ginseng plants. For a detailed description, please check the publication. Pepper samples were collected at two different growth phases (the vegetative growth phase, 60 days, and the reproductive phase, 90 days). Ginseng samples were collected at various plant ages (2, 4, and 6 years old). In soil slurry enrichment samples, bulk soil enrichment was treated with different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide to select Mn-catalase-containing AOA. We used pepper bulk soil samples as inoculum for soil slurry enrichment. After 21 days, DNA from all soil slurry enrichments was extracted simultaneously.
