The tumor suppressor role of PAQR3 in colon cancer

Colon cancer is a major global health threat with high incidence and mortality rates, and current treatments are inadequate. This study found that the membrane protein PAQR3 and its synthetic N-terminal peptide P6-55 inhibit colon cancer cell proliferation and migration. RNA-sequencing analysis showed that PAQR3 regulates the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway to suppress cancer growth. These findings suggest that PAQR3 and P6-55 have potential as new colon cancer inhibitors, offering new therapeutic strategies and hope for better patient outcomes.
