Echmatemys ocyrrhoe is an extinct species of the largest and most diverse turtle family- Geoemydidae. This family often displays a high degree of sexual dimorphism, which is where the two sexes of a species display significantly different physical characteristics. This is the carapace (top shell) and plastron (bottom shell) of the animal.
