Rice Leaf Disease

The Rice Leaf Disease Dataset is a clean and improved form of the Rice_Data_3 (which was found on [Kaggle](https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/ummershakeel/rice-data-3)), which had few and imbalanced images. Via data augmentation through Python Augmentor library, we increased and balanced the data in such a way that the presented data fairly reflects three devastating rice diseases, Brown Spot, Leaf Blast, and Bacterial Leaf Blight. The resulting augmented one has a clear split, 446 training, 128 validation and 64 test images in each category, which means this dataset is better suited to machine learning. The processed version resolves the limitations of the original dataset which offers a more solid basis to train robust disease detection models. This balanced data set can enable researchers to propose and test computer vision based algorithms to diagnose rice diseases automatically. As a benchmark, the raw (original) data could be obtained through the given Kaggle link.
