Seawater samples (4L) were collected and amended with one of three sulfur-containing compounds: DHPS, isethionate, and taurine. Incubations were then stored on deck at in situ light and temperature conditions with samples collected after 2 hours to examine the effects of compound amendment on open-ocean bacterial communities.
