Chinese general (P&C) insurers agency channel benchmarks: headcount, recruitment, poaching, retention, experience levels

We use Chinese general insurance agent registration data to compile monthly benchmarks for ALL life insurance companies in China, showing agency headcount, recruitment rates, retention rates (including by tenure level), agent experience levels, and poaching rates between companies. Analysis is at both nationwide and also province level. These measures are windows into the operational health of the companies, some obvious (e.g. size, growth rate of agency force), some less obvious (e.g. retention rate of experienced agents correlates with agent quality; retention rate of new agents should correspond with agency positioning on the quality curve). Sales capacity generally (i.e. size of the agency force, and the extent to which it is growing/shrinking) will be a lead indicator for sales revenue.
