资源简介:
This research investigates how water masses are transformed as they flow through the Caribbean Sea, a region responsible for a quarter of the northern hemisphere\'s northward ocean heat transport and a vital component of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). The UVI glider will transit to 18 N 69 W, south of the Dominican Republic, and sample temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and current velocity profiles from the surface to 900m depth southward along 69 W to just north of Curacao (12 24 N) – and return along the same path. The journey is expected to take a little over 3 months and will be repeated during hurricane season 2026.cdm_data_type = TrajectoryProfileVARIABLES:conductivity (Sea Water Electrical Conductivity, S.m-1)crs (http://www.opengis.net/def/crs/EPSG/0/4326)density (Sea Water Density, kg.m-3)depth (m)instrument_adcp (Nortek Glider1000 AD2CP)instrument_ctd (CTD Metadata, 1)instrument_dmon (WHOI Digital Acoustic Monitoring Instrument DMON)instrument_optode (AA Optode 4831)instrument_rbrctd (RBR Legato3 CTD)lat_uv (Depth-averaged Latitude)latitude (Profile Latitude, degrees_north)lon_uv (Depth-averaged Longitude)longitude (Profile Longitude, degrees_east)m_pitch (rad)m_roll (rad)m_science_clothesline_lag (s)optode_water_temperature (sci_oxy4_temp, degree_Celsius)oxygen_concentration (sci_oxy4_oxygen, mol.m-3)oxygen_saturation (sci_oxy4_saturation, %)platform (Platform Metadata, 1)potential_temperature (degree_Celsius)...
