The widespread use of gibberellin-3 (GA3) as plant growth regulator in agriculture raises significant concerns as environmental contaminant. GA3 acts as potent disrupter by inducing dormancy and disrupting the flowering process essential for the continuation of pitaya species. This study investigates the hazardous effects of GA3 at 100 mg/L on inducing bud dormancy and suppress flower bud (FB) formation in pitaya (Hylocereus polyrhizus), focusing on the environmental implications.
