Vitis vinifera ssp. sylvestris of the Black Sea region and its virome

The study of the genetics of V. vinifera ssp. sylvestris and its viruses, both in the Black Sea region and in other areas of the centers of origin of cultivated grapevine, will help to develop ideas about natural populations of co-evolved viruses, their phylogeography, role in the ecosystem, and will become the basis for further study of the process of grapevine domestication.
