资源简介:
Through the past decades, the recirculating systems, i.e. the so-called overflooded systems, have been the most dominant type of system for large industrial installations. An additional amount of refrigerant, compared to the minimum requirement for cooling, is circulated in these systems. The circulation rate is uncontrolled and set to a fixed circulating rate, which is sufficient for all operating conditions and load variations. This paper analyses the effect of controlled recirculating rate on industrial refrigeration systems. This is the second paper in a series of two. In the first paper [1], calculation methods were developed based on laboratory measurements, theory, and simulations. In this paper, the results from [1] are used to investigate the effect of controlling the circulation rate on charge reduction as well as energy savings and installation costs.
