Haplotype-resolved genome assembly of the leading cultivar of jujube (<i>Ziziphus jujuba </i>Mill. ‘Huizao’)
收藏资源简介:
Jujube (<i>Ziziphus jujuba</i> Mill.) is an important fruit tree primarily cultivated in arid and semi-arid regions, but its haplotype-resolved genomic resources remain limited. In this study, we generated a high-quality, haplotype-resolved genome assembly of the major jujube cultivar 'Huizao' using PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and Hi-C data. Genome annotation identified protein-coding genes in both haplotypes, and comparative analyses revealed large-scale structural variations and allelic differences between them. This chromosome-level haplotype-resolved assembly fills a gap in the genomic resources of 'Huizao' jujube and provides a valuable foundation for allele-aware research, comparative genomics, molecular breeding, and genetic diversity studies in jujube.
