This record contains everything needed to reproduce the analysis: raw google trends exports/ — the 30 CSV files as downloaded from Google Trends on 4 September 2026 (10 geographies × 3 query sessions, January 2019 to August 2026), unmodified, with a download log and the SHA-256 checksum of each file (checksums.txt; the same digests are printed in Supplementary Table S1 of the article). inputs/ — the analysis-ready dataset built from the raw exports (wide and long formats, composite-index components, series quality summary, geography metadata), with checksums. scripts/ — the Python analysis code (segmented regression with Newey-West errors, harmonic seasonality, first-differenced lag correlations with a moving-block null distribution, circular-shift and residual-based sensitivity analyses, figure generation). Run scripts/run-analysis.py; versions are pinned in requirements.txt and the random seed is fixed. outputs/ — all statistical tables, intermediate results and figure data written by the code. README.txt describes the folder structure, the three Google Trends sessions, how to run the code, and which output file each number in the article comes from. Google Trends data are relative search volumes (0–100) normalised within each query panel and geography; values can differ between downloads, which is why the dated exports and their checksums are deposited.
