资源简介:
This data is from a pond mesocosm experiment conducted within a forestry practice habitat manipulation in Daniel Boone Conservation Area, Missouri, USA. Mesocosms were placed along a canopy cover gradient and plant litter input was manipulated (mixed deciduous tree leaves, prairie cordgrass, no litter). Mesocosms were allowed to colonize with treefrogs and insects. Three species of hatchling tadpoles were added in three years: Lithobates sylvaticus (2008), Anaxyrus americanus (2009), Lithobates sphenocephalus (2010). Tadpoles were removed at metamorphosis to assess survival and time and size at metamorphosis. Additional data was collected on ecosystem processes, community structure, temperature, and water quality.
