we explore the expression relationship between CMS (Cytoplasmic male sterility) onion formation and MADS-box gene, and to understand the molecular mechanism of onion CMS formation. The expression pattern of each gene in different onion organs was detected by real-time quantitative PCR. Our results suggest that CMS onion may be caused by down-regulation of B and C functional genes that affect stamen development. This result laid the foundation for onion hybrid breeding.
