The unique competencies mastered in branch of the M. I. Krivosheev National Research Centre for Telecommunication in Sevastopol (TC \u201cOmega\u201d) are in the paper briefly describes. These are certification tests of devices\/systems of the ERA-GLONASS automated information system, satellite navigation equipment, tests for type approval of the international satellite system COSPAS-SARSAT distress beacon, full-scale tests of coastal radio-technical objects of vessel traffic services (VTS), the global maritime distress system (GMDSS) and the international automated warning system (NAVTEX).The basis of these competencies is the created and acquired new measuring instruments, testing and auxiliary equipment, developed and mastered testing methods in the TC \u201cOmega\u201d. Scientific and practical tasks that have already been solved, are currently being solved, and are planned to be solved within the framework of the creation and development of these competencies are separately noted.
