资源简介:
Temperature data collected inside inhabited tents in Knoxville, Tennessee, during a winter and summer data collection period, alongside ambient conditions. Data were collected in 15-minute increments. Data were collected inside and outside of tents for two periods: 14–21 February (winter) and 14–21 August (summer) 2024. Tent stations consisted of two iButton Hygrochrons collecting 15-minute temperature and humidity observations inside a radiation shield. (Karanja et al. 2023, 2024). iButtons have an accuracy of ± 0.5 °C and ± 5% relative humidity. iButtons were turned on to measure temperature inside an office for about one day to determine their reporting accuracy prior to placing them in the field. The iButtons selected for the study successfully reported back the temperature in 15-minute increments ± 0.5 °C of the mode for that increment. Weather stations with a single iButton measured ambient temperatures at each camping location. Some tents shared an ambient station because they were at the same encampment. One encampment was measured in winter and a different one in summer. Those files are marked with the word encampment to differentiate them from individual tents.
