GCIP/ESOP-98 Surface: Special Surface Observations Composite. Version 1.0

This dataset contains only the GCIP/ESOP-98 Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) and National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) DATSAV2 "Special" observation surface data for the GCIP/ESOP-98 domain and time period. These are observations that are reported at off-hour times. The ASOS and DATSAV2 "Nominal" hourly surface data for the GCIP/ESOP-98 domain and time period are included in the GCIP/ESOP-98 Hourly Surface Composite.
