Pan Traps with Colour Factor

A total of 60 solo bowls filled a third to half full with soapy water are placed in two areas - 30 are placed in a grassland with an open area, and 30 are placed in a woodlot with trees growing in close proximity to each other. Bowls are separated into three different colours: yellow, orange, red; an equal number (ten) of each colour is placed in each area. Pan traps are lined along a linear transect, one every couple paces, with each colour alternating. They are placed out for two hours, around 2:50pm and collected at around 4:50pm. The number and type of insects captured are then counted, recorded, and categorized based on common physical traits.
