Dedicated James Clerk Maxwell working-edition record for A Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism, Volume I. This version replaces the compact first-edition reverification tranche with printed pp.001-055 / Internet Archive 1873 first-edition leaves, while retaining the earlier ledger-backed source-witnessed working tranches for book pages 95-101, 103, 105, 109, and the main continuous run 111-267. The pp.001-055 tranche is a source-page-boundary update: printed p.055 ends with the page-boundary fragment "It is probable that the value for"; continuation begins on p.056. Status at a glance. This is not a complete Treatise edition and not a final critical edition. It should be cited as source-witnessed working tranches. The pp.001-055 package contains editable TeX, reader PDF, LaTeX log/compile captures, a compact source-scan witness PDF, a relative source-image list, render check, page registers, checksums, and a status note. A pp.001-056 rolling build exists locally but is not promoted here because it ends mid-page/mid-sentence. Source-check ledgers and source witness images govern promoted range claims. OCR/XML material is used as a locator/witness layer, not as textual authority. The pp.001-055 reader build completes with one small inherited overfull hbox of about 1.15305 pt; this is a layout-polish caveat rather than a missing-source claim. Corrections and contributions.
