NRS-21492 | Index Cards to Government Building Plans [Department of Works and Services]

This series contains index cards created to facilitate access to microfilmed copies of architectural plans from the Department of Works and Services (1). The plans they index are generally of government buildings, from both complete and incomplete projects, and include sketches, working drawings and executed plans created in Head Office as well as regional offices.Each card records the following information: the date of the plan, contract number, the plan number in a set, a description, a reference number to identify its line on the index card, and the date the plan was microfilmed. The final field is titled 'Plan Destroyed'. This field records either the date the plan was destroyed,whether it is now available as film only, or the roll number it resides in.The cards are grouped generally by building type, and then arranged alphabetically by the location of the premises.Endnote1.
