GABA regulates release of inflammatory cytokines from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and CD4+ T cells and is immunosuppressive in type 1 diabetes

This study compared the transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) of CD3+ T cells from nondiabetic (ND) individuals and patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Overall design: Total RNA was extracted from CD3+ T cells of 18 nondiabetic individuals and 31patients with type 1 diabetes and subjected to deep sequencing using Illumina HiSeq 2500.
