In addition to introducing material, the work is in independent sections, each with self-contained page numbering, viz. -- Tales of Ambrym pp 1-50 -- Customs of Ambrym pp 1-72 -- Ambrym Grammar pp 1-74 -- Dictionaries -- English-Ambrym (2 dialects) pp 1-63 -- Ambrym-English pp 1-207 -- Note: Sections of Paton's thesis have been published in revised form (cf Pacific Linguistics). It is too large to copy into the computerised database, but will be lodged at the National Library of Australia's archive as part of the Capell Papers. It was originally submitted for the award of D.
