Effect of hormone treatment on Norway spruce seedlings [Hypocotyl]

We analyze the underlying molecular mechanisms for the observed changes to cambium and xylem differentiation by assessing gene expression changes after hormone applications. Overall design: Approximately 2-week old seedlings were treated with either cytokinin, auxin or a combination of both hormones using lanolin as the carrier. Lanolin was applied onto the middle region of the hypocotyl.
