PEDAGOGICAL FUNCTIONS OF TEXTBOOKS IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

This paper examines the role of primary school textbooks within the educational process and analyzes their pedagogical functions from a scientific and theoretical perspective. Particular attention is paid to the contribution of textbooks to the development of learners’ cognitive abilities, their educational and moral development, the formation of key competencies, and the organization of independent learning. In addition, the article discusses the pedagogical requirements placed on modern primary education textbooks and outlines their didactic potential.
