Ika Text Collection Corpus

English The Ika Text Collection Corpus contains 70 texts in seven descriptive and narrative genres, recorded from ten speakers of Ika (ISO 639-3: arh, Glottocode: arhu1242) in Pueblo Bello, Cesar, Colombia. The data was collected mainly in 2022 (with three texts from 2018) within the CHIBERGIS project, with the aim of documenting and analysing the phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics of Ika. The corpus comprises transcriptions, Spanish and English translations, English glossing, and syntactic annotation in SUD (partly also UD). Text types include narratives, retellings, procedural texts, and comparative descriptions. Syntactic annotation was carried out in ArboratorGrew (https://arborator.grew.fr/?#/projects/Ika), and the corpus is also (partly) available as a UD treebank (https://universaldependencies.org/treebanks/arh_chibergis/index.html). Español El Corpus de Textos Ika contiene 70 textos de siete géneros descriptivos y narrativos, grabados con diez hablantes de la lengua Ika (ISO 639-3: arh, Glottocode: arhu1242) en Pueblo Bello, Cesar, Colombia. Los datos fueron recogidos principalmente en 2022 (con tres textos de 2018) en el marco del proyecto CHIBERGIS, con el objetivo de documentar y analizar la fonología, morfología, sintaxis y pragmática del ika. El corpus incluye transcripciones, traducciones al español e inglés, glosas en inglés y anotación sintáctica en SUD (y en parte también en UD). Los géneros textuales abarcan narraciones, relatos, textos procedimentales y descripciones comparativas. La anotación sintáctica se realizó en Arborator-Grew (https://arborator.grew.fr/?#/projects/Ika), y el corpus también está disponible (parcialmente) como árbol UD (https://universaldependencies.org/treebanks/arh_chibergis/index.html).
