This dataset contains observations of the simulation of an industrial steam network. The data was generated from a model created in the Modelica environment Dymola. The main components of the model were imported from the libraries ClaRa and TransiEnt. The primary purpose of this dataset is to fit models for energy flexibility controllers targeting the reduction of carbon emissions, energy costs, and steam blow-off. This data is generated by putting a PI controller in the control loop. It reads the pressure measurements at each steam header and operates the different steam generators and pressure reduction valves to track the nominal pressures of the plant. Multiple weeks' worth of data is provided, which affect the simulation via the electricity and natural gas prices, the carbon intensities of electricity and natural gas use, and the net steam consumption profiles at each steam header.
