This record includes data relating to the manuscript "Developing Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) assays for rapid, presumptive DNA detection of an invasive reptile (<i>Boa constrictor)</i>" as part of our Data availability statement. This includes the DNA extracts sheet (named Extract_quants), which contains: DNA extract ID, Volume used in quantification, Quantus reading, Sample type and Species for all of the DNA extractions relevant to the manuscript. The second sheet contains the mean hue measurements for all the colorimetric LAMP (targeting the mitochondrial control region for <i>B. constrictor</i>) reactions following 30, 45 and 60 minutes of incubation at 65C. This sheet (named Colorimetric_Hue) contains columns: Sample, Time, Conc (DNA concentration (ng/uL)), Primer.conc, Hue.mean, Hue.max, Pixels and Primer. The final sheet contains the Cq values for the fluorescent LAMP reactions for the mitochondrial control region of <i>B. constrictor </i>with a common threshold of 40,000 set on the Applied Biosystems Design Analysis Software. All reactions were conducted at 65C for 30 minutes spread across 20 second periods spanning 90 intervals on the QuantStudio™ 6 Flex Real-Time PCR System (Applied Biosystems, USA). This sheet contains time to detection (Cq) and melt curve temperatures (Tm1) relevant to our study, with columns: Sample, Target, Cq, Amp Status, Tm1.
