In 1961 a new registration system for plan series was started, and this index provides a cross-reference between the old and current plan numbers. The plan cross-reference index contains all plans with the exception of Deposited Plans* and Strata Plans, which have been registered or recorded in the Registrar General's Office. The plans are listed in numerical sequence within their respective groups, with an accompanying cross-reference to the current DP/FP number (Deposited Plan/File Plan) under which each plan is now filed.The four volumes have one sequence of pagination (pages 1 to 1529). The lists record the original number by type and the DP/FP number. Where no re-numbering is given it is noted as Withdrawn, Cancelled or No Plan.Plan numbers are divided into the following types: Transmission Applications; Balance Orders; Old Series Dealings; Dealing Series A, B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K and L; Miscellaneous Plans of subdivision (RP [Real Property]); Lithos; Primary Applications; Miscellaneous Plans of Subdivision (OS [Old System), Housing Commission Plans; Registered Plans; Roll Plans; Application Rolls; and, Crown Authority Plans.* Note: 'The term 'deposited plan' has a wider connotation than it did previously as all 'filed plans' are now referred to as deposited plans.'
