资源简介:
This dataset contains electrophysiological population recordings from 19 freely behaving rats implanted with high-site-count Neuropixels probes in the medial entorhinal cortex (n=10), the hippocampus (n=2), or both regions (n=7). Numbers of simultaneously recorded units ranges from 235-1,522. The recordings were obtained while the rats engaged in different navigational tasks (foraging in an open field; running in a wagon-wheel-shaped maze, an m-shaped maze, or a linear track), and during natural sleep in a rest chamber. The animals’ head positions and orientations were tracked with OptiTrack motion-capture system.
The raw neural activity was spike-sorted using Kilosort 2.5. The present data files include the spike-sorted activity (spike times) of all cells that were used in the accompanying paper. Grid cells were clustered into ‘modules’ according to their spatial firing patterns.
The data may be used to examine activity of spatial-coding neural populations (or single cells) during navigation and sleep.
