The land types are classified into secondary categories: paddy field, dry farmland, closed forest land, shrub land, open forest land, other forest land, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glaciers and snow-covered areas, tidal flats, bottomlands, urban land, rural settlements, other construction land, sandy land, gobi, saline-alkali land, marshland, bare land, bare rock and gravel land, and others. Specifically, cultivated land is further categorized by landform into paddy fields and dry farmlands located on mountains, hills, plains, and slopes with a gradient greater than 25 degrees. The data has a scale of 1:100,000.
