The invention relates to a press (10) for continuous production of material boards (16) from scatterable material， comprising: a collecting device (42) for collecting unpressed material (32) escaping from a press nip (12) between press belts (14a， 14b) of the press (10); and a conveying device (34) for conveying the material (32) collected by the collecting device (42) into a disposal area (36) of the press (10)， wherein the collecting device (42) and the conveying device (34) are arranged in a pressure-relieving section of the press (10) along the press nip (12); the collecting device (42) is designed to deflect the collected material (32) in the direction of the conveying device (34); and the conveying device (34) comprises a movable element (40) for transporting the collected material (32). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for continuous production of material boards (16) from scatterable material by using a press (10).
